Special Educational Needs
S.E.N. (Children with Special Educational Needs)
The School philosophy is that everyone is special! ‘We are all the same but different’. At some time everyone will have a special need, for instance if a pet or close family member dies or is ill or there are family rifts. Children with special educational needs are fully included in all aspects of the curriculum as appropriate and with full consultation with parents.
Ofsted has identified this area as one of the strengths of the School.
We may feel that we need expert help and together we should ask the advice of one of the professionals attached to the School. Any teacher would be very foolish to pretend that they knew the answer to everything! However, we know a man who does! Expert help brought in quickly will save many anxious months of worry and wasted school hours for your child.
All children with identifiable needs will have an Individual Education Programme to which all teachers will adhere.
